Cards Game
UI/UX | Illustration | Prototyping
ROLE: Individual Project
TIMELINE: Fall 2024
TOOLS: Figma, Illustrator
— 01 Introduction
This project was a challenge in discovering creativity within set boundaries. The rules were simple: six card faces—king, queen, jack, and three numbers. You could only add or remove cards. The goal was to create a unique and beautiful app design that also ensures smooth and effortless interactions.

— 02 Illustration
I aimed to design card faces with a sleek and minimalist aesthetic.
To determine the look of the UI, I started by focusing on the content. My goal was to create a minimalist line-art design for the cards. Additionally, I thought it would be interesting to differentiate the suits with distinct styles. For example, heart suits would feature a softer, more organic design, meanwhile spades would have a sharper, more angular look.

Next Steps
• Finish designs for all card variants.

Takeaways
• Although minimalist designs aren't my personal favorite, they possess a distinct elegance.
• Restrictions on scope can often help with the ideation process.
